Welcome to the Linear Collider School

Following the success of the Ambleside LC Physics schools (see here for its latest instalment), a new series of LC Physics schools was started in 2013, 2014 and 2016. The next edition will take place 6-13 May 2018 at Frauenchiemsee, Bavaria, Germany.

Intended audience and contents
The school is aimed at Master and PhD students and postdoctoral researchers working on linear collider research. The programme consists of lectures covering the following topics:
  • Physics at LHC and e+e- machines
  • Accelerators (e+e-, future concepts)
  • Detectors (LC, comparison to LHC)
  • Top quark-, Higgs- and Beyond Standard Model Physics
  • Cosmology
  • Physics and Philosophy

Students presentations from the whole range of HEP complement the programme

LC School 2016: Frauenchiemsee
The previous LC Physics school took place on the Frauenchiemsee island, Bavaria. More information is available on the INDICO page.
Past LC Schools
The past two LC schools took place at DESY and on the Frauenchiemsee island, Bavaria. In 2009 and before, several schools were held in Ambleside, UK.
